The Decorologist is one of the blogs that I never miss a post. Kristie Barnnett has always a good
advise to give and she's always been helpful, but my favorite part is when she shows
off pics of her projects, the transformations are remarkable! Scroll down to check out
this painted wood paneling makeover and be amazed!
Cushions are the budget-consious decorator's friend, allowing him or her to add sumptuous
touches, vibrant colours and deep textures easily and without being forced to change the
entire decor of the room. Cushions work particularly well in bedrooms, as well as
living rooms, adding an overall appeal and sense of comfort to every bedroom.
An open plan apartment of 86 sq.m. in Sweden with a generous balcony and a French one on
the other side, surrounded by a courtyard. White-wash walls and wooden floors make the
space feel cozy and warm. Plenty of natural light peeking in from the large windows.
Simplicity at its finest!
Another amazing before and after of a living room and a kitchen that took place back in
the 2009 but I just found out. Take note of the small rug in the before picture (one of
the most common decoration mistakes) and then look at the after to see what
difference the correct rug size makes.
A hallway, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen get an incredible makeover
with the help of the design team Milk and Honey, where I borrowed the photos from.
Talking about a major transformation here! Scroll down and check this out.
There’s a kind of stigma attached to the idea of sofa beds; when you were young, you may
have spent an uncomfortable night at a friend’s house, trying – and failing – to get to sleep
on a hard, creaky, bumpy bed, but that simply isn’t the case anymore. Sofa beds have come
What would you say if I told you that you could create the exact same table with only a few
bucks? Yeap! It's very simple too. You just need to purchase a pair of Lerberg legs from IKEA
and a few planks of your desired width and color (here they used 10 planks of 95mm).
... The pop-out outlet! It extends when needed, providing three outlets and aesthetic
improvement. When not in use it retracts back into the wall. Isn't that a smart idea?
Would love to have a couple of those in my kitchen.
It was found at Lowe's for about $40.00
Somewhere in Australia... Two buses... A family of 6!
A repurposed 1970's bus (!) with an addition of another bus from the 50's (!) come back

Fall should be here in my town, however the weather is still hot and dump. How
it usually goes here in Athens is this... you wear your summer clothes and shoes
and suddenly one morning it's cold and raining outside and you're wondering
Amazing villa in Spain built in the eighteen century, fully restored and renovated with
the characteristic for that era arched windows and doors that I adore. Bonus... the stone
walls and the overwhelming backyard, which to me it seems like a public square!
So we're back! Back for good. And while we're trying to adjust back to the every day rhythms,
here are a few of the photos taken from my iphone during our vacation. First we went to
my hubby's home island. Please meet the island of Kefalonia.
Oh I so much admire spaces that feel so serene and girly at the same time! The color palette
is one of my favorites and I especially love that cute round rug which most probable
is hand made and that makes it so special. And that ceiling... is a dream!
What are your plans for the weekend? What about some good old DIY? Everybody
loves it, especially when it's simple and easy to make. Today I'll show
three different kind of DIYs that will only cost some of your time.
First one is a tutorial on how to create a Faux Milk Glass.
This 90 m2 space in Amsterdam was bought as an office and was then turned into an apartment
by Nicolet a real estate developer. The work done here is fabulous. I absolutely love the
simplicity of the space. It allows the gorgeous details to stand out - like the hardwood
floors (YES!!). And the patio that was created to offer more natural light is just so cool!!!

Τhis is the epitome of a feminine and glamorous home! It has everything a woman
is craving for... it has fur, it has pink, it has leopard prints (it rhymes!), it has flowers,
it even has a flamingo wallpaper and of course it has portraits of women only!
Enjoy and be just a little bit jealous inspired!
I was never fond of camping, but this way.... YES PLEASE!!!
Seeing these pictures, I can close my eyes and imagine of sheikhs laying down surrounded
by female bodies in veils, sensually dancing, giggles and engraved glasses filled with wine.
Come with me to a journey into time...
How many times have you heard that it's all in the details? You may fall in love with a room
not realizing at first glance what details make it outstanding. Frequently most people when
they gather inspiration photos, they focus in on a wall color, furniture piece, accessories or
fabric pattern. They don't realize the impact of one's room architectural details or interior
design and how these speak to the overall design. Here is a set of examples for you.
If by any chance you are about to be working this weekend, let it be in an office like this!
Work can be better and more productive in such places, don't you think?
Happy weekend my friends and whatever you do, don't forget to...
A unique country house in Costa Del Sol, near Malaga, full of character. Textures, colors
raw wood and a variety of fabrics give this home a positive breezy vibe. Especially
loved the outdoors and the poolside! Enjoy!
Saturday's already here, how good does this feel? So try to send the worries away and
enjoy a restful weekend, doing what pleases you the most. I leave you with some lovely
pics of great styled interiors, food for thought for the weekend!
A bright and airy home in Madrid, bathed in light that makes my heart sings! Stealing some ideas from this one, as my father's home (where I grew up) is 75m² and I could never imagine that
with some effort it could turn up like this! Daddy... guess what, changes are coming over to
Here are three of the latest projects I've been craving about lately and absolutely pinning onto
my pinterest board for future reference. First one is this gorgeous pair of jeans transformation.
I'd love to have a pair of pale pink jeans like these ones and I do happen to own some old and
out dated ones, so all I have to do is follow these easy steps on how to bleach and dye them.
Today allow me to transfer you to the late 20's to the old days where the cinemas were playing films in black and white only, cars were only a few out in the streets and women had very
thin eyebrows. Cause this country Australian home will make you feel this way... romantic
and nostalgic of that era. Enjoy!
So, I'm back (really?)! I wasn't gone-gone, just needed a break. Anyway, I've returned
with this beautiful open plan house with interesting way of mixing old and new,
modern and retro. Hope you enjoy my friends!
Just a girl who loves decoration, design, good makeovers and beautiful homes. Happy with a brush and a can of paint in hands when she can transform a piece of furniture or a wall in an instant! Please make yourself at home, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your stay!
